It is such a pleasure and fun to take part in this event by GGW. David Perry, judge for august, has selected the subject “Down on Your Knees”, which is pictures taken from knee level or lower. Being a novice in gardening and photography, it is such a wonderful learning experience for me. Good luck to all participants and thanks to GGW
Here is my entry for the contest.

Speedwell with mums, grass an bees-GGW August Entry

Gladiolus on a tree trunk

Orange Zinnia with Ornamental grass
Love your red/white/blue
Wouldn’t have known which one to choose.
Am a touch bewildered by the description of the white flower though.
The white of the speedwell just pops against the dark green of the background.
Thank you Jo for visiting. I love your ‘softlt sotly’ too..i thought it was beautful. Deutzia elegantissima ‘Rosealind’ . do they grow in zone 5?
Those gladiolas are so pretty. I waited too long to get bulbs and they were no where to be found. Kind of makes me sad because they are such a wonderful flower that is always in my garden by now, oh well. Next year I won’t let that happen. Good luck in the contest. I like your photo very much.
